I've always felt that, in the endgame in Lurking Horror, you
unwittingly bring grues back into existence.  I've hacked the tunnels
at MIT/GUE Tech, and I'm certain that, if we hadn't had lighters and
flashlights, we would have walked straight into the fangs of a
slavering grue!
