In proclamation <2051td$mkp@bigboote.WPI.EDU>,
avif@cs.WPI.EDU (Avram Finkel) doth speak:

->I was just playing Enchanter, from LTOI1, and I seem to have hit a big bug...
->I've been playing the game for about 2 weeks now, and for the past 2 days, I've
->benn stuck, I coulden't figure out what to do. So I wimped out, and decided to
->scan over the map, maybe I missed a room on my personal map. I discovered that
->I hadn't missed a room, but a handful of items seem to be missing from the map
->room. According to the map and the hint book, there is a pencil, a scroll, and
->a map in the map room. According to the game there is NOTHING in the map room.
->This rather pisses me off, as I would really like to complete Enchanter. Did I
->do something wrong, or is this a bug?
->
->  Thanks alot,
->   -Avi F.

Perhaps the adventurer stole the items, did you consider that possibility?
