I read the FAQ after posting my article, so I'm cancelling the original
article and removing some uncalled for clues.

The pirate's treasure is in one of the two mazes near the entrance in my
version. Maybe you have a different version? Do you have the Ice maze?

Hint:
You have to give the troll something valuable to cross the "troll" bridge.
You can get one certain item back later from a hidden place.

I've got an expanded version I thought was the original PDP-11 version
converted to CP/M on an 8" floppy disk (NCR 8400). Needless to say I
haven't been able to play it for 11 years. It's the one where you can
get across the volcano by creating a bridge. Across the volcano there
is another maze at the end of a canyon. Sound familiar to anyone? I
made it about 3/4 of the way through it.

I just found the different versions in wuarchive, and I'm requesting
them through decwrl.
