I recognise some of these - nostalgia and fond memory overflow - they
brought out Sphinx and Castle of Riddles as well, as far as I recall.

   The Diceman's Apprentice.

Almost, but not quite! Sphinx and Castle of Riddles were produced by
Acornsoft, as were initial versions of Acheton, Hamil, Philosophers'
Quest and Countdown to Doom. Acornsoft then decided not to publish
adventure games so the authors took them to Topologika, produced a few
more on the way, and converted them for other machines.
