I don't think this really qualifies as a hint, really, so hope nobody
minds if I don't do that "^L" business. . . .

Uh, no, you're not a spaz, you just have a puzzle to solve. Neat thing about
these adventures -- they're full of puzzles. The trick is recognizing one
when you see it!
