 Er, no. ftp.gmd.de is the correct address. "de" means the site is in
Germany, as that is where the Gesellschaft fuer Mathematik und
Datenverarbeitung can be found. Virtually every "edu" site is the in
the United States. (there are a couple in Canada for historical
reasons, I believe.)

 The US is not the Internet. ;)
