It seems as if everyone has had a bunch of problems with The Seventh Guest
(7G).

For Christmas I got the family (and myself, of course) a Zeos 486DX-2 66Mz,
16 megs of memory, Diamond Viper video card with 2 megs of VRAM, 15"
monitor and a half gig hard drive. I also got the MultiMedia kit which
includes Mitisumi CD-ROM, two LabTech CS900 speakers, and a Cardinal DSP-16
sound card.

Sooooooooo,

Encarta runs fine. So does Return to Zork, Sherlock Holmes Vol. II, and
Where in the World is Carman Santiago.

But NOT 7G.

I downloaded the two updates (124 and 130) from Virgin's BBS and I *still*
can not install 7G on this machine. Update 124 says it will work with the
Diamond Viper video card. I've got 615K of free DOS memory and several
times I could hear the music, sometimes (on various attempts) the dos
screen dims (sometimes to black) but no 7G video.

Has anyone successfully run 7G on this system?

How do I do it? Am I missing something obvious

(I've spent over 48 total hours trying to get this game to run and I now
need some help).

Virgin's tech support is only open when I'm at work and not sitting by my
home system.
