Which begs the question -- have there ever been interactive fiction
games in languages other than english?

As to your question, Planetfall was the most like the Zorks in its
"true infocom classic" feel. I loved Bureaucracy, but it takes a
certain feel for the non-logical to be able to get through it.

My favourite game, and the only one I've solved with absolutely no help
from anyone, is Leather Goddesses of Phobos, which as far as I know,
was NOT part of LTOI or II, and only available to PC users via mail-in
(sucks for us mac users). Lucky for me, I bought it when it was new.
