There were six, all together, published by Avon:

  Planetfall (by Arthur Byron Cover)
  Wishbringer (by Craig Shaw Gardner)
  Enchanter (by Robin Wayne Bailey)
  Stationfall (by Arthur Byron Cover)
The Zork Chronicles (by George Alec Effinger -- tells the story of an
exploration of the Great Underground Empire, and
also doubles as a study of Joseph Campbell's
mono-myth (a la "Hero with One Thousand Faces).)
The Lost City of Zork (by Robin Wayne Bailey -- about the deposition of
King Zilbo III, and the beginning of the Flathead
dynasty with Duncanthrax on the throne.)

There were also four Zork children's books published by Tor and written by
S. Eric Meretzky (aka Steve Meretzky):

Zork -- The Forces of Krill
  Zork -- The Malifestro Quest
Zork -- The Cavern of Doom
  Zork -- Conquest at Quendor

There were also versions of these published in Britain.
