Ipox V1.06.026

ABOUT
=====

Ipox is a multi user communication system designed to link to commercial communication radio systems. This module provides voice communication for networks and internet use, but is not the full Ipox system. It does not have the radio linking support or encryption.It may be used by private and non-commercial systems using vox and radio vox and desktop/mobile access. If your servers are made public - then describe them, eg Kent NHW area 1 no public access etc.
The commercial Ipox system comprises hardware that provides real time PTT control and watchdog circuits. For more information on the full ipox system, email: Support@aac-net.co.uk

INSTALL
=======

To install, unzip into a directory and run. If you are running a server. make sure to include a directory called access in your working directory. Your user files will reside here.

MOBILE
======

There is a JAVA MIDP program available to use text only mode under most mobile phones that have Java supported. You must have a working internet connection.

RUN YOUR OWN SERVER
===================

You can host your own server. Using the client, click on setup - SERVER, then Enable server module. The settings will be remembered. As the software is a telnet server, it uses port 23, so you must route incomming connections (TCP) via your router/firewall.

If you require a restart then use a link to the program, in your startup directory.

Remember - if using linux under Wine, you must have root privs to run a server, so install under /root/.wine/drive_c and run wine ipox.exe as usual, user root privs.

There is a full dedicated linux daemon server for linux and win32 service version in the full ipox release. See our website for more details.
