I am fairly new to kiting, and have been frustrated by low wind conditions near my home (north San Diego county, inland). I went to a local kite store planning to buy a Prism Macro Ion, and came out with this fragile looking thing called an Air Master Vanishing Point. I wasn't too sure about my decision, since it looks way to fragile for my limited skill set ... then I flew it! This is the most amazing kite (to me anyway). It is dead easy to fly, tracks like it's on rails, turns real quick with no oversteer, and flies in the slightest breath of wind. It makes you a much better flyer than you really are. I love it! There is one catch, though. Neither I nor the kite shop folks, could figure out a way to break it down along it's leading edge spars. There is a joint in there, but the spars are held in with twisted/knotted string rather than a shock cord. Breaking down is a fairly imporatnt feature to me since I get around on a motorcycle, and a full length kite is a bit awkward to deal with. I don't want to break my favorite kite. Does anyone know if there is a practical way to break this kite down? They have responded by shipping our next batch of Bad Boys in the broken down configuration. I suspect that they can do the same for the VP. It is very difficult to ship and travel (fly) with kites in the fully extended position. I think they are listening and will respond to this need in future product releases. As for your present kite, you may want to email them AM1BADBOY@AOL.COM Hoy BFK = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
