I wish I wasn't the one to bring this sad note, but our community has
lost another influential member. Leland Toy passed away last Thursday
after a long illness. His presence will be missed by all of us.

The AKA is planning to name a significant award in his memory according
to David Gomberg.

Bad news indeed. I had several chances to talk with Lee over the
years. He was a truly inspired kite personage. He will be missed.

More specifically another death from AIDS.

As if enough people haven't died from it already.

<sigh>

That's good to hear.
