Does anyone know of any good kite shops in the Chicago area?
How about various clubs, groups, etc.?
I'm rather new to flying sport kites so any help would be appriciated.

Although it is not actually in Chicago, The Chicago Kite Company has
a great selection of kites and an excellent staff. They are located
at the follwing address:
	6 S. Brockway
	Palatine, Ill. 60067
	(708) FLY-ALL6 (359-2556)

I once went in 10 minutes before closing with a multitude of questions
and the owner was more than happy to help me out. They also offer a
FREE learn to fly program every Sunday (usually) from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M.
At the Ned Brown Forest Preserve (Golf Rd. and Route 53 in Schaumburg,
by Woodfield Mall) Call the store for more details. On weekends, the
forest preserve is also a hot spot for Chicagoland flyers, many of whom
are more than happy to give tips and answer basic questions.

There is also a store located in North Pier shopping complex in downtown
Chicago. Don't know the name or phone, but check it out if you're there.

Happy Flying!

Although I have not made myself difficult to find, I would prefer that my
postal address not be published on the net. My net address is different,
that can be published. Thanks in advance

Mauricio makes a good point.. In many cases I have complete postal
addresses in the Address FAQ database.. If you're listed in the Address
FAQ, and would prefer that your _postal_ address not be posted to the net
(or e-mailed to individual inquirees) let me know by e-mail, and I'll
remove your postal address info from the database, or notate that you
don't want it posted net-wide.. Your call.. Remember that the Address FAQ
is available to anyone via ftp.hawaii or Andrew's KFS web page..
